BORN: 956
DIED: June 19, 1027
At early years of Saint Romuald, there was a strong and sincere desire to be nearer God but like saint Paul, the body was weak and led to his quick swift to worldly things. He later made another quick turn to the monastery after committing a murder initiated by his father.
He founded many monasteries. The devil not being happy about his conversion engaged him in series of battle, even his fellow men saw him as a threat.
Temptation of different kinds came his way but in all these God blessed him with great patience and silence.
He was a man of prayer and penance. He expired on June 19, 1027.
